Pastor Dr. George Thornton Installation Ceremony

Ephesians 4:11-12

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.   
This Sabbath, our new Pastor Dr. George Thornton will be installed. Join us as Pastor Paul Graham, Associate for Pastoral Ministries, Potomac Conference will be on hand with other conference leaders supporting the Installation ceremony.

  • Masks are required throughout the service.  
  • Temperature check and sanitizing the hands are required upon entry.
  • Social distancing guidelines must be followed.  Ushers will seat you accordingly.
  • The children’s room is not open and children will be required to sit with you.  
  • If you’ve received a positive test for COVID-19 within the past 10 days, or have been in contact with someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 within the past 14 days, we ask that you watch our service online via Facebook or our church website.
 
To expedite the process to enter church, please print and complete the Pre-Screening form and bring it to church with you.

Pastor Dr. George Thornton’s philosophy of the gospel is firmly rooted in the Seventh-Day Adventist beliefs, based on the Word of God. He is passionate about Preaching & Teaching the Word!  He enjoys working with all diverse/ Multi-cultural groups in fostering cultural competencies and respect for all people.Pastor George Thornton is a strong proponent of nurturing and strengthening families, mentoring youth/ and young adults; and caring and visiting the elderly.  Pastor Thornton has a hunger and thirst for winning souls. He welcomes the privilege to serve in Potomac Conference and the Woodbridge SDA Church as a Servant and Leader in “Growing Healthy, Disciple-Making Churches”
